AKG WMS4000/880

AKG WMS4000/880 Description:

Handheld system with D880WL/1/ head

The AKG WMS4000 wireless microphone system provides user flexibility for large or small applications. The system features UHF frequency agile operation, true diversity receiver and a wide range of compatible microphone elements.

The SR4000 Receiver features a 30MHz wide UHF band containing inter-modulation free preset frequencies and a tunning mode with access to up to 1,200 switchable frequencies. The receiver operates as a true diversity receiver in which 2 independent receivers relay for the strongest possible signal without interference. A pilot tone data stream decoder enables transmitter information such as battery life and mute status to be accurately displayed on the receiver. The receiver features balanced / unbalanced switchable XLR and unbalanced 1/4" Phone (3.5mm) output jacks. Also available on the rear panel is a data port, and logic port connectors.

The HT4000 handheld transmitter is also powered via 2 AA alkaline batteries and like the body-pack, features a comprehensive LCD display, locking On/Off and Mute switches. The HT4000 is available with 1 of 6 AKG microphone heads (not interchanging). The dynamic models D880WL1, D3700WL1, D3800WL1 and condenser models C900WL1, C5900WL1, and C535WL1 are available with the transmitter.

AKG WMS4000/880 Features:

WMS 4000:

Complete wireless networkable solution for touring and installations. Maximum performance in an ultra-compact design.

The WMS 4000 is probably the most advanced and innovative professional wireless system available today. It is based on intensive R&D and has been thoroughly tested under real-life conditions before being released for production.

The result is a number of useful features including an advanced backlit display on the transmitters and the receiver, remaining battery life readout, silent mode, pilot tone status data transmission, environment scan and rehearsal functions, auto setup frequency search, and many other functions that make the WMS 4000 extremely user-friendly.

SR 4000:

The new SR 4000 is a state-of-the-art, true diversity receiver that provides maximum ease of use and the most useful functions in its class. Many features of the SR 4000 were never before available or limited to extremely expensive systems.

The accurate battery life readout is an invaluable advantage in live sound applications. The transmitter uses a pilot tone to transmit battery status data to the receiver that displays the remaining battery capacity in hours.

The pilot tone decoder also detects and displays other important information including the current position of the MUTE switch on the transmitter.

SR 4000 Features:

  • True diversity receiver with all-metal case
  • 30 MHz wide UHF band with up to 1200 selectable frequencies
  • Pilot tone data transmission for battery status monitoring and tone code squelch
