The AKG D3800WL is the super-cardioid caspule found on the D3800M. The capsule is designed for use with AKG handheld transmitters that accommodate interchangeable capsules.
The super-cardioid polar pattern provides maximum gain before feedback and minimizes noise at the off-axis sections of the capsule.
This makes the microphone suitable for live sound reinforcement and public address situations where monitor speakers and ambient noise may be present.
The dynamic capsule yields a maximum SPL ratio of 147dB allowing transient (peaking) signals without distortion.
